Default what is this noise!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

alright,1st,2nd,sometimes 3rd...just at low rpms when you let the clutch out it will start making this kinda vibrating noise, push clutch in its gone,go into higher rpms it goes away,,anyoe have any idea what it could be,tranny shifts and does everything fine, its just a vibrating noise it sounds like, but could get loud. is it possible there is to much tranny fluid or to little? thinkwe put a quart and half in it...

Does your clutch slip at all?

Sounds like a throwout bearing though...

Could be your tranny main bearing. That was almost the exact same stuff mine was doing. Contact Neal Sutton. AKA: Cxcivic

He can fis it for you.

throwout bearing makes noise when clutch is depressed, input shaft bearing makes noise while driving and in neutral but not when the clutch is depressed. Other bearings in the trans make noise only when driving and clutch out.

My 2000 si does the same thing but mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear. It does it when your in gear and slow down and the rpms drop under 2k.. It's like a humming noise, and it sounds like it's coming from the tranny. Then when you push in the clutch it stops. I have to get mine checked out too, anyone know what it can be?
