I've been having this constant not really problem but a annoyance with my fuel reading off when I get under 1/4 tank. I've actually had the fuel light come on and then go off and the need go up to about 1/8 of a tank. Could this be from the fuel pump? Got a new fuel filter so I hope that's not it...

Also, as some of you know I got a RSX-S muffler on my 2 1/2 piping, and it's super raspy. I was wondering if having the bigger piping on the stock muffler is causing this? If you need audio for it I can make a video real quick... My boy says' it could be the baffles, but another says it's probably just the bigger piping size that's causing it...

Alright, I know that there's an exhaust leak also, so disregard that, but listen to the rasp sound, will probably do on my break and upload when I get home...

 

fuel question - sounds like the floater in the tank (to measure level) could be sticking. might wanna pull it up and check.

exhaust question - i would be pretty certain its the bigger piping, esp if there is no resonator.

i just had a 2.25" exhaust custom made for my B18B, and it took the guy 3 mufflers and two resonators to get it quiet without rasp, so if its just a muffler on big pipe, i would bet a resonator/diff. muffler would help.

well understand on a rsx u have a resonator cat and muffler..u have just straight pipe with muffler?...and im sure the K's make a different sound then Bs anyway

 

your fuel problem is the sender unit is going bad. eventually it won't work, then you need to buy a new one. very common problems with a few selected honda models.

rsx-s muffler won't sound raspy if you do not have a resonator, if u don't have one, that is why is raspy. i know it sounds sweet with both a rsx-s muffler and a s2k on cars before. nice deep melow tone.

 

you mean a custom pipe setup, with a generic resonator, and the RSX/S2K muffler?

whats the piping size on a RSX-S muffler?

 

Dont know the sizing on the muffler or its piping but the kid i bought it from had stock piping I think, I just saw a video on honda-tech where the kid had the same thing I did, with the 2.25 piping, but had a resonator and it sounded nice. I have the video and I'm going to take pics of the muffler piping also when I get home... So be on the lookout I'll upload when I get home and take some pics of the piping hopefully. Thanks for all the help so far.
