obd-o alternator = obd-1 alternator?????

Default obd-o alternator = obd-1 alternator?????

obd-o alternstor, obd-1 alternator are thay the same thing this has been bugging me it look like the plug end are the same but i was just wondering?!?!?!

yes plug is same, but pully has one more rib on the obd1 alt.

im going to be getting acar with a bad alternator and it has obd2 motor with obd0 wiring think i should get a obd1 alternator because of the pully thing????

since the plug is the same, it will work fine. I am using an obd2 alternator on my obd1 engine, the belt doesnt exactly fit like an obd1 would, but it fits good enough to work...which is all i care about

what chassis is the motor going in.....is the harness staying obd0 or obd1? just stay same obd to keep things simple

its going into an ef most likely since he said obd0. And he could either get an obd1 alternator that works for 20 bucks easily, or sit on here and continue to search for one.

If their the same why do you have to get the jumper harness for the disty to go from obd0 to obd1?? J/W....

As a guess....maybe you should set it for whatever you have,
or still have, before you were swapping alternators.

The dist jumper may have nothing to do with alternator,
but the engine management system.-Bob

because the dizzy has the crankcase sensor in it for obd1. not sure about obd0.

and alternators are different than dizzys
