well if i am not mistaken the p2p is a obd2 ecu. i so i think that the p28 would do u best plus you can get it chipped as well. u are gonna have to look at the pin out on the p28 and run a wire for vtec yourself.

you are correct, the P2P is the 96-00 SOHC VTEC ECU.

p28 & any 92-95 EX or Si engine harness will be the easiest solution.

O damn that sucks lol. You bought the worng head, sure you can make a y8 head work but it's a pain in the ass. Trust me I've done a couple of these and helped with a couple of them, y8 injector clips won't fit your wiring harness so yu will have to use your stock injectors, the dizzy won't work you will either need to use your dizzy and just bolt it in with 2 bolts instead of 3 or get a z6 dizzy. To wire the vtec properly it will save you alot of headache and just pick up a z6 wiring harness. But honestly I would sell the y8 head and pick up a z6 head/wiring harness it will make your life somuch easier.

+1

honestly its not worth doing a mini me i.m.o. to make any power d-series you'll need to kick the b7 block to the curb and drop in a z6or a6 but you'll make just as much power as a mini me with.

a6cam y7/8 cam gear
z6 intake manifold
chip your p06 run p28 basemap w/vtec disabled
basic i/h/e

Yea nd when we did Michelle's mini-me with a Z6 head was it not easy?

And BTW yea a b7 mini-me will give you decent power. And honestly alot of people wanna just swap the head because they don't wanna pull the motor but it is SOOOO much easier to do a mini-me wth the motor out +it takes like 30 minutes to pull a d-series motor.
