Default Car won't stay running when cold??

Car: 95 Civic EX, jdm b16a swap

It's really weird, it was throwing an o2 sensor code, so I ordered a phearable.net ecu and had john chip the o2 sensors out, and now it's still doing it, when its cold it wont stay running unless your foot is on the gas, once it warms up it runs beautiful.. any ideas?

happened to me with my LS swap a coupla weeks ago... i had low/uneven compression, and a valve clearance fixed me up.

if the valves havent been adjusted in a year or two its prob time to do em anyway.

other than that id say start with a compression check.

Well yeah, the valves are pretty loud... I was thinking maybe a coolant temp sensor, fast idle thermo valve, something of that nature?

FITV could do it... dont think the temp sensor would, but if u think the valves need adjusting anyway, that should be priority #1... just remember to do it in the firing order

If it was an LS I'd be outside in the morning doing it, but I HATE adjusting dual cam vtec valves, shit SUCKS!! I'm gonna try the FITV first, if that doesn't work, I suppose I'll adjust the damn valves

Your problem could be your engine coolant temp sensor, your intake air temp sensor etc...

Make sure your iat sensor is not cooked due to using the wrong iat sensor plug.

Good Luck.

IAT sensor is on the back of the intake manifold, correct?

i thought the coolant temp sensor just kicked the radiator fans on, how would that affect the car running?

(obviously, i said i didnt think it would, and i wanna know why im wrong )

That would be your fan switch.
Your coolant temperature sensor tells the ecu what your coolant temperature is at.
