Default Questions about LSV build

Right now I have a B18a1 out of a 93 ls. What I want to knoow is I'm getting a b16 head to do a LSV build. The heads from a 00 SI, my questions are what is everything I'm gonna to need to make this work. I was told I'm gonna need GSR head bolts cause the b16's are to short and the ls's are to long. Also am I going to need to get a OBD conversion for the dizzy? Would it be easier to just rewire the car to to the new OBD (not sure what 1 I have atm and what 1 the 00 b16 head takes) and get the right ecu for it, or just get a vtec controller and use a conversion harness. Money is sorta a issue but not really. Basically I Need to know every single part I'm gonna to need so I can start getting them.

your best bet is to get a obd1 vtec dizzy, a chipped p28, and a obd0-obd1 conersion harness.(if the crx in your sig is the car it is going into) The dizzy is easy to re-pin.

also if u want it to be SAFE...u need to take the bottom end apart and put some arp rod bolts in there...and depending on what way u want to go..all motor or n/a maybe consider changing the pistons to some high comp p30s (jdm b16 pistons) arp head studs would also be a good thing to have....i think u should honestly rebuild the whole bottom end to be safe..but u can take ur chance on that...or if u want i have a ready built ls bottom end..thats vtec readya(i have one pm me)....cuz ur also going to need a vtec water pump and oil pump...i mean u can use the ls...but thats not very smart since its not intended for the high revving vtec motor...try not to cut corners and do A LOT of searching before you get this done..there are millions of sites out there with ls/vtecs and b20vtecs to learn from...

I dont plan on going cheap with this but I also dont wanna get stuff that I dont absolutly have to have. Way I'm looking at it is the more it cost the longer and takes. I want to get this done but at the same time I want it done right. I plan on keeping it N/A. I know I need arp head studs, itr gsr oil pump, itr gsr water pump, LS/vtec oil kit like the one linked below. A chipped ecu to remove the knock sensor. Would it be easier to get a obd1 dizzy or a convert the dizzy plug for obd2 to match the dizzy I'm getting with the head? I belive the car is running OBD1 atm has a pr4 ecu. I'm gonna get a vtec controller also. what else do I need to get?

please read the sticky at the top of the tech forum. there is more LS/VTEC info on there than we could fit in one thread.

g/l with your build.

*EDIT*
AND NO VTEC CONTROLLER! please do it the right way, and the easy way and use a VTEC ECU

thats some good shit for the price you're asking...thats the exact motor i built last spring for my boys crx, but i used pr3 pistons, but other than that exact to the T....get the GOLDEN EAGLE KIT. ..worth every penny...nice oil lines and fittings, head studs, tap, oil plug and whatever size head gasket u need......just remember the LSV is a frakenstein and you must spend extra $$$ got it to be reliable and last....u dont wanna end up like so many people i know that say ohh i built a LSV but it only lasted me xxxxx miles, blame it on not being factory and all that good stuff.. .ive built 2 LSV's so far....one has 70,xxx miles on it and the other has 25,xxx.....both daily driven with ac and take daily beatings ..just my 2 cents
