1996 Civic Ex What motor can I use ?
I have a 96 Civic Ex it spun a main bearing. It has the D16y8 Engine what motor is = or better that bolts right in? I cant seem to find the d16y8 motor for cheap. I dont know if i should put a non vtec motor in.
Would that hurt the resell price?

obd2 gsr converted to odb1 ecu is exactly what I have.pulls ungodly compared to the d16.you can easily find a gsr motor for 2-3k.

if your going to resell dont waste money on a bseries you will not be able to sell for what you spend buying the bseres meaning your car now is worth about 4K if you spend 3K to put in a b16/gsr YOU will not get 6500-7K out of it maybe 5-5300 just find a d17y7 or y8 bottom end for 150bucks and your good to go
