What Would Be The Better Trani For My Car Its A 90 Teg With A Ls/vtec I Have A S1 Right Now Wanted To Know If I Should Switch The Trani For Another

stick with the b16 tranny...just get a ls 5th for highway driving...and if u can afford an lsd of course get one...

 

b16 1st and 2nd gear, gsr 3rd and 4th, and ls 5th FTW

B16/ITR gearing with 4.7 FD. You can get a nice set of Toyo 215/45/15 with enough contact ground patch with a nice short gear to hang with boosted Civic/Intergras'

The ys1 has 2 different types, the GSR ys1 has a short gearing and the LS ys1 has the very very long gearing. I would go with either of the ys1's. They share the same internals as the newer hydro trannys. Therefore you can install an ITR gearset and factory ITR LSD.

 

i had a jdm itr tranny with a quaife lsd. by far the best thing i ever invested money in. kick ass acceleration and traction. i had a ls motor attached to it with itr pistons and i would walk all over people all day long. but since the itr tranny isnt up there i voted for the closest one....... gsr ys1

 

Hey, if your talking about the tranny in your EF. Then you had a JDM ITR gearset inside a ys1 case. The best setup for NA hondas.

 

just curious isnt the jdm b16 tranny almost the same gears as the itr?...if not which are different..? and ive heard a bunch of different things such as...the b16 tranny is weak at high hp...but ive heard that all honda trannys are made of the same material none are stronger then others...can we get an expert to clear some things up....what is the best boost tranny set up?...proof? what cable tranny will hold 350whp?
