Default sometimes when taking off hard, wierd noise.. help

it doesnt do it often, its like when i take off hard but not drop the clutch, if i ease out but do it quick. it makes a noise almost like a really quiet tire squeeling. Its not very loud, but i can hear it and its pretty wierd.. it usually only does it in 1st gear. it has a act stage 1 clutch and 12lb flywheel

yup, its the clutch slipping on take-off. thats weird, i just said this to a guy 3 posts up. its more prominent on lightweight flywheels/clutch setups, or stock pp with 4 puck disk.

that's my problem, lightweight flywheel, stock pressure plate, and a 4puck unsprung disc..

thanks for all your help in both threads guys, tim hope you solve your problem too!

thanks, it really doesnt do it that often, so its most likely a stock pressure plate with the aftermarket clutch and light flywheel? is it somthing i need to get fixed, or is it just going to continue to make the noise (honestly it doesnt bother me, its not loud at all.

y would u upgrade everything except the stock pressure plate that just waste of time to pull the tranny off when the stock plate goes. idk im just a big fan of replacin everything in the area at the same time

eh, the noise is just is a slipping surface noise like when dragging nails down a chalk board. OH, and some just upgrade the disk because if their pp is good, the firm unsprung disk will increase their holding capacity for only 95 bucks, rather than spending 300+ for a full setup when they only need it to hold to 280whp.
