clutch slippin sound?

Default clutch slippin sound?

what does a slipping clutch sound like? like sqeeky tires?

no....it sounds like the engine revving up and car not going as fast as the engine.....you cant acually head the disc slip.....you can however hear a bad throwout bearing and it does make a squeeking noise...

not true, you can hear a clutch slip upon original take-off, it sounds like a harsh chirp. but if already in motion, the slipping will be so fast it will just smell like burning plastic(bacolite)<sp?, and you wont hear it.

^^nah, most modified clutch FWD cars get the intial chirp off and on. i have a stg 3 clutchmasters flywheel/clutch combo, and i still get the chirp every now and then.

thanks for the input. i just moved to tallahassee this week. the fucken hissla up here pwn my ass. plus i've got this bay city clutch. it engages sooner than any i've even driven before
