b16 to b17

Default b16 to b17

my friend is swapping out a b16 from his crx and puttin in a b17 engine. hes keeping all the wiring the same, question is the coolant sensor on the back of the block is differnt sizes, what should he use/do?

use the one that fits?....also why go throw the hassel of swappin a b16 for 17?...power difference is very minimal 6xtra lbs tq doesnt seem worth that hassel..however if ur friend wants some real power increase...ill be selling my b18a high comp ls bottom end..thats vtec ready...and that will def increase his hp and tq..it has 6000miles on it..and right now has a b16a head on it...if interested lmk...he can come take a look at it running

the b16 is an obd0 block if the fan switch is on back of block......b17 motor is an obd1...fan switch is on thermostat housing......extend your fan switch wires and use according plug....make sure you solder and heatshrink your connections......done it many times, no problems

just cut the plug off the fan switch wires. connect them together. The fan will come on any time you turn your can to on. I like haveing the car setup that way. Then you don't question is the fan is going to turn on when you need it to. Sometimes those sensors go bad and you'll overheat your engine.
