Default Honda Guys Please Read.!!

Alright i bought a obd-2 b16a2 and im throwing it in my EG hatch. can i put a obd-1 distributer in it or do i need a obd-2 distributer to work.. does it matter..?? lmk guys. thanks

u will be fine it will work the same just make sure ur harness for the car is obd-1

obd1 dizzy will be fine....just make sure u use obd1 ecu....p28 or p30....maybe change injectors to obd1 also...same high inpedance just diff clips

+1 for sickjdm and mike....

the only parts that have to match are the harness, distributor, injectors, and alternator.

if all those are OBD2, then u can run either an OBD2 ECU or get a conversion harness to go to OBD1.

if all those parts are OBD1, then u just run an OBD1 ECU.

Thanks alot guys.. im going to switch it over to obd-1. just need the alternator and the p28.. thanks!!

Obd1 and 2 dizzy are the same, just have differnet plugs.

umm.. you would need a obd-1 wirering harness to only fit the obd-1 dizzy and only the obd-2 dizzy fit the obd-2 wirering harnees.. thats the differences..

If you know how to wire the Distributor up to OBD1 You would be able to do that. But they do make Jumper Harness for the distributor now. OBD2 distributors have a single Connector plug and OBD1 has two. If you can find the site it won't be hard to do.
