Default I got a nice suprise while doing my brakes:mad:

First of all the car is an HF CRX with an LS swap, the guy that had the car before me did the swap and used the SI hub on the driver side and I have no idea what the hell he did on the other side

These are the brake pads which hung over the rotor about a 1/4 inch

Another view

I'm hoping all I have to do is replace this piece which the brakes fit in, and this brings me to my question whats the name of this peice?

Also the caliper doesnt slide easily up and down after you remove the bottom bolt I have to use all my wieght to move it

That sucks. maybe he put the bigger brakes on but not that bigger rotor?

As for the caliper not sliding easily, it wont unless you loosen the top side a lil also..GOOD LUCK!

There is no nut on the top, on my old hatch and the driverside it just slides right off, I'm just gonna replace that bracket and caliper.

I dont know if thats an LS hub or if its just the bracket and calipper, does anyone know if it's interchangeable with CRX SI parts?

Also notice how the back brake pad isn't worn out at all so the caliper must have been frozen in place or something

thats the actual bracket to the caliper looks like the pads and calipers are too large for the rotors. that's why one pad has a lip. Also if the caliper is locked on Honda's you can usually just grease the slidings and walaa. Unless you wanna replace the calipers which shouldn't be to bad.

If he put on bigger calipers, and did not change the rotors,
I would take the caliper to a dealer, and see what rotors goes with that caliper number.................and buy the rotors to match it.

To clarify: rotors are always replaced in pairs if they are
not the same-side to side.-Bob
