Brian Crower Stroker Kits-Does this make sense?
you can achieve the 9000 range with that kit but its so famn expensive if you just bore out a b20 it will be the same for less money

This kit is a bore increase and a stroke increase. If you read the description you will see them mention "aluminum buttons/rail supports", this means the oil control rings sit at the same level as the wrist pin. This leads me to believe the ring package as a whole is very short and thus not going to be very good for turbo. All the motors I've ever seen with oil rings in the wrist pin bore have had alot of oil control problems also. If you are planning on going turbo just have the motor sleeved and bored to 84mm and leave the 89mm stock stroke. If you really want to stroke the motor also look for a 92mm crank and pistons with a standard ring package and adjust rod length accordingly.
Don't get all hung up on rpm range, with the proper clearances you can take a 95mm cranked motor past 8k rpms as long as you understand the effect it has on bearing life.

I can show you more than a couple datalogs of 9000RPM pulls from 9lbs to 18lbs of boost with my LS
Plenty of people (TheRedDragon, Brothers, Julian, Dario, Jap, etc) have seen me do it
I'm not recommending everyone with an LS do it
I will put my money he was confused with VTACK application
Couldnt have said it better
