Default HC Piston on z6

Yo, my boy just bought a z6 for his crx and wants to go with high compresion pistons. Theres one question he want's to know with his build up is that if he could be able to stay with the stock rods or does he need to buy new one. The pistons are going to be standard bore so he just needs to know if he will need to uprade. Also he will be running nitrous on the motor as well.

Yeah true on the rods so do you recommend buying new oem rods or just upgrading to say eagle rods. Any little info will help we are going to start the build in the first week of january. One more thing should he o with standard bore or get bigger ones. Isn't stock 75mm.

well if he has the money hbeam rods and forged pistons are always the way to go,i would not say buy New stock rods just find some from say a newer motor someone is selling then put some arp rod bolts with thos ebay pistons and you will be good stay stock bore if the motor does not smoke now

Alright, now I could let him know which way to go, his motor right know has 103 thousand miles would that be alright or should he look for lower mileage rods. Really I dont want to build the motor and then a few months later that bitch blows, I'm looking to help him out and build it right the first time. With building the motor should we go with the helms book or what do you reccomend.

helms is flawless you cant go wrong with that lol butif you dont want anything to go wrong its better to replace everything beforeyou drop the motor in...its easier than haveing to replace it later...just use new rods with the set up and you should be fine

Alright, sounds good I'll tell him to get everything new for the bottom end and well go from there. Thanks for the info guys and I'll let you guys know how it comes out. I 'll have photo's up as soon as the build up starts.
