regardless of how cheap they are if you truly push your car to its limit or even exceed them you will notice quite a difference. and if the guy next to you without you tells you different ,tell him to follow you and take him on some challenging roads where hp is not a factor

well honestly on a stock car you will notice a big difference, however if you have a car with horsepower I would recommend a name brand, I've seen people bend metal bars and I have seen guys autocrossing with stock cars and made a HUGE difference on handling, the best is if you upgrade the HP you can always sell those foward and get name brand stuff....just my 02 cents

I have first hand experience to your question. I just went to Miami(Homestead) for a track day roadracing. i did not have the strut bars on for the event. Then my buddy had some "Ebay" I think they were Bomz upper front and rear strut bars laying around..lets put them on!

i seriously didnt expect them to do a damn thing, well I was wrong! I put them on and it stiffened up the whole chassis. I had never had problems with traction(sliding) and these stiffened it up enough to get the back end loose. Well i just made an adjustment with the tire pressure and its a dream!

I have plenty of seat time with this car with NO strut bars. I now have the front and rear strut bars and let me tell you its a hell of alot faster! Like others have said a bar is a bar, if you go look at most of the racers at the track they arent running any top brand names, only the guys that drive their cars on the streets have the names(granted its not a full sponsor car).

Well, anyways you will be plenty happy with your "ebay" strut bars. GOOD CHOICE, MONEY WELL SPENT!

I purchase a bunch of generic stuff on Ebay for my EG Hatch. Some stuff it okay to use a generic if the quality is similar. As for the strut bar, you need to make sure it strong and will prevent flex. Some of them are so badly designed that it not worth your money. I have a "weapon R" bar that I been using for like 7 or so years now (was on my 97 civic, and I moved it onto my 94 EG). Not the best one, but got it cheap many years ago.

Strut bar is a strut bar, but if you really want to stiffen up the car, put a cage in it.
