Putting relays on them that run directly to the battery is reccomended. Otherwise you could have ignition problems. And by ignition problems i mean the bulbs turning on. They draw the most current when they are first turned on.

Have you ever worked with a relay? Well just a run down is..... Basically Pin 85 will go to the factory light turn on wire. And 86 will go to ground. 87 will got to the battery. And 30 will go to the lights. 87a WILL NOT BE USED. Be sure and fuse the wire going from the battery to pin 87. I would reccomend a 15amp fuse. Make sure you do this for BOTH LIGHTS. That means 2 relays.

Good luck.

All Factory HIDs are 4300K and the bases will have to be modded to fit any Non-HID headlight housing.

If you plan on using a set of factory HIDs, You must follow these simple steps.

1) if installing into a gen 3 Integra with factory projectors, the D2S bulb should be used.
That is used in all Projector type HID housings and does not consist of any shields on the glass.

If you use a D2R HID bulb in a projector, You will create a horrible light pattern and your better off staying with your stock halogen bulbs.
The shield that comes on the bulb will cause you a lot of light scatter...= BAD

2) You do not have to use a relay, however...You must change out your stock 10amp fuses to 20amp or the HID ballasts will overheat quick and extremely shorten the life of the ignitor and balast.
Don't worry, Your stock wiring can handle the upgraded power with no problem.

3) If you do plan on going HID, A Stock Setup is the best way to go.
There is a lot of technology, time, and tests put into OEM HIDs, The technology in Aftermarket Ebay kits........Not so much.

If you have any more HID Questions, Please feel free to contact me, I've done a lot of research on HIDS in the past few years and if I can't answer your question...Atleast I have the correct resources to get the info.

Good Luck with your decision.

Both you folks seem to be knowledgeable......

While I can appreciate it that factory wiring may carry the load
for HID's without a relay, what gauge wire do you recommend
from the battery and to the HID light control if a person wanted to use
relays just in case?-Bob
