Default Bad Battery..or Something Else??

I just put a "new" used motor in my car, everything runs fine and all. I actually drove it to miami raced a whole weekend at homestead, drove back. and now a couple days later my car wont start out of no where. All the lights inside light up bright, the radio turns on w/ key in on position, and my alarm works just fine...it just wont start the car. It will turn the motor over, but just not fast enough I guess to catch and make it start.

Bad battery or possibly something else? I checked the wires to my alternator and starter and both seem normal...oh and if I push start the car it starts right up and drives perfectly normal, just wont start again if you turn it off.

starters can be bad, but still turn an engine over. sometimes the gears and brushes inside the starter can swell up, and they'll turn an engine over, but not fast enough to actually start it(happens with onboard engines on boats a lot if water gets into the bilge and in the starter)

O SNAP!

sorry, i had to

anyways, my battery wasn't getting good contact and was exhibiting the same problems, good thing it was an easy fix, and if there ever is a problem with your starter or alternator there is a rebuild shop by me that does awesome work for cheaper then buying rebuilt, just an idea

Or you can just rebuild you're own starter for $20
