Ok i am building a k-series EK9. I need to know which type of block is better for running high boost (i am going to do the internals and all.) Which block should i use on a k20a2 type s head:

K24 block
K20a2 block

and

with having high boost which tranny would be best

5 spd
6 spd
or
6 spd LSD

 

def 6 speed and it also depends how much boost u planing to run on the beast

 

anywheres between 15-30 not sure.

 

thought so with the 6 spd but should i convert it to LSD

id say 5 speed if your going to make alot of power or you will be shifting into 6th gear.

as far as block choices I say k24

 

i know what LSD means limited slip. most likely i will burn out throught most of the gears with LSD right? so would it be a good idea to have LSD with that type of power? it seems like a good idea not to have LSD but im wondering how is it with LSD.

 

lsd will make both wheels spin rather than just one...i cant think of a situation where you wouldnt want to have it.....so if you have the money get it....and go with the k24 bottom end.....the liters count for somthing.

 

either block will work, but id use 5speed trans
