Default 1992 civic gear oil

my civic seems to go in gear hard like bad syncros...is the a synthetic gear oil i can try? also is it worth the effort to use a fram 1qt. hp15 oil filter? its a 1.6 with a turbo so i would assume the more oil in it the better. thank you

You can try Neal Sutton (NS Racing) at 813 842 5517. he replaced a clutch on my old crx, he did a great job.
