Default brake switch triggers parking lights????

hey, i pulled into my garage after work and noticed an orange glow from the the front of my car durring the day. i hopped out and it wasnt there, so i got back in and pressed the brake and viola! the parking lights are on. also the interior lights for my gauge cluster came on with it. as soon as i let off the brake, they go back off. it doesn't affect the turn signals or anything, its just that durring the day with my lights set to off, if i press the brake, the parking lights and interior lights come on for the duration of me pressing the brake. Any i deas on how to trace this anomoly down?? and no, there isn't any ghetto wiring for cd players or neon lights or ricer tail lights, just stock. Thanks

one of your brake light bulbs is backfeeding power to the tallight circuit.

Start by taking out the bulb from the brake light one at a time and recheck if your problem is still occurring. when you determine which bulb is causing the problem take a good look at its base. the contacts on the bottoms may have become hot and melted across each other. Make sure that the bulb is a two filament bulb. good luck

^^^^^^ Yep, you most likely have an incorrect bulb installed somewhere. Have you replaced one lately?

actually, there was a bulb that kept going out because of water leaking into the taillight causing rust and corrosion in the terminal. i should buy a new passenger side light and all new bulbs and then go from there. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE GOOD ADVISE GUYS!
