Default Choosing the correct size head gasket

I found this interesting...Im in the process of building my b16...its been sleeved and bored to 84mm..i contacted cometic and they recommended an 85mm headgasket. Their resoning was and i quote, "You need the gasket to be larger so you have clearance around the bore." I assumed i would need an 84mm gasket to match my bore... If im wrong and cometic is right(which they probably are) has anyone else heard of this?
