Choosing the correct size head gasket
I found this interesting...Im in the process of building my b16...its been sleeved and bored to 84mm..i contacted cometic and they recommended an 85mm headgasket. Their resoning was and i quote, "You need the gasket to be larger so you have clearance around the bore." I assumed i would need an 84mm gasket to match my bore... If im wrong and cometic is right(which they probably are) has anyone else heard of this?
well stock bseries bore is 81mm but the gaskets are 82mm BUT i have bored 10 bseries to 82mm and still used a stock gasket not one problem
