2000 Civic EX Turbo ?'s
ok my friend needs his car tuned it still has the OBD2 computer in it, now for the questions. One for him to get his car tuned would he need to get an OBD1 computer or can the OBD2 be tuned for a turbo? (Someone told him he needed this) he is putting in bigger injectors and we are putting in an intercooler so basically right now his car is not tuned. my other question is who around the st pete/clearwater area can do a really good tune after the car is assembled? Any help with this would be appreciated. thanks in advance
converting to OBD1 will give you the most options and will allow for more alterations that are specific to your car...highly recommended.
check the tuner directory in the H/A tech forum or pm mtber with details on your car and he'll get back to you soon

+1 converting to obd1 via a simple jumper harness & chipped ecu will offer you the best solution.
Tell your friend to read over the article located on phearable.net (Electronic Fuel Injection Introduction Guide).
Let me know if you have any questions.

Just to give you some ideas, above are two 2000 ex setups with over 100k on the motors. I coincidently tuned them on the same day. One of the guys was from south Florida, the other was a local.
I was honestly supprised by the y8 with the 230whp.
The y8 with 205whp was not holding boost very well with the manual boost controller.
(I believe it had a boost leak.)
