Is it like it hits a birck wall at 3k and just holds it without boucning or anything?
If it does, then just pull the MAIN underhood fuse for about 5 minutes or just pull it and try to turn the car over with the battery uninstalled to drain the system of power. reinstall the fuse and you should be fine.

no brick wall....seems as if the rev. limiter is at 3k.....checked the EACV...checked the TPS....all hoeses and ghaskets..we can't figure this one out...any help will b apreciated...rep 4 u smokins13sr20

ok...we managed 2 make the stock 97 b20 dizzy 2 fire the car up and run it...but would the rev. stoppin @ 3k be a result of a OBD2A dizzy on OBD0 CRX si ECU ??? crank angle wires is wired up and everything else is good...anyways someone help..thanks
