brake problem on my89 hatchi

Default brake problem on my89 hatchi

bought the car bout 2months ago i just finish fixing it and when i was ridin the car i press on the brakes and it went all the way down to the floor and i got home checked the brakes and they still brand nnew and it got fluid on the lines wut could it be!!

Sounds like air in the lines.bleed your brakes and see if that helps.if that doesn't help check your master cylinder.also check for leaks in the lines.

Like 95teg said, If when you bleed the brakes they are fine, you have a bad master cylinder.

yeah... the rubber o-ring between the brake booster and master cylinder like to dryrot... like they said above... check/change the master cylinder, if that doesnt help... test you brake booster...
the master cylinder would go bad way before the booster would.

also... after filling it back up with fluid... wipe downn ALL your brake lines near the leak and have some one keep pushing the brakes while you watch for a leak... if any.

if the pedal is stiff with the car off and then when you turn it on its going to the floor its probably your breakbooster or master cylinder if not then just bleed your breaks.
