i have a b16 that i just rebuilt and the vtec is not working these are the thing ive already trouble shooted all that i could with the tools ive got.
i had a cl code of 21 wich is vtec solinoid, tried a new pw0 thats not it,checked wires for break, power was tested through wires its good.test drove car with wire test in wire harness that goes to ecu it kicks 13.5 v when vtec supose to come on. replaced solinoid with other one i hade nope didnt work, replaced complete vtec piece, checked contuity on vtec pressure switch good, also contuity from harnees both vtec pressure and solinoid good, pulled head off checked head gasket its the right one, pulled head apart making sure all lifters have all the vtec pieces in correct good per helms manual, put a vtec pressure sensor on fron of head its supose to read at least 7 psi at idle and 57psi at vtec well it only read 25 psi wtf, the oil is fine levels are good. put oil sensor back onto block it read 75psi dont know what else to think, there is one more test i want to do but i need the right tool, dont remeber the name but you put like 30psi or something close to that and you run the car and hit the button and its suppose to manually kick the vtec secondary in automaticaly just to se if it pushes over and kicks in. if any one has the tool or has some other ideas let me know, thanks
