need help doing timing on an ls

Default need help doing timing on an ls

hey i just took my head out and all from an ls motor. and did some stuff to it now how would u go about laying the camshafts in for timing is it a certain way to do before all the rocker arms go on then u can adjust it after all the rocker arms are tighten and u can line it up . or just watever way they go on and they adjust it after all bolts are tighten let me know thanks

just put the cams on and tighten the caps. their should be a hole in the first cap on the in. and ex. sides, their will also be holes in the camshafts themselfes. line the holes up stick a small screw driver in the holes so they dont move and put the timing belt back on and that will give you tru time.

when the arrows on the cam gears are pointed up adjust the rockers for the num. 1 cylinder. then turn the crank so that both arrows are pointing to the front of the car (or to the left side ) now adjust the rockers for the #3 cylinder. turn the crank so the arrow are pointing down and adjust the rockers for the #4 cylinder. now turn the crank again so the arrows are pointing to the firewall, the adjust the rockers on the #2 cylinder.

the clearences are .15-.19mm(.006-.007in) on the intake side

.17-.21mm(.007-.008in) onthe exhaust side
