Ok so I can start my car when I hook a wire from the starter to the battery but it wont start from the ignition/key. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. What should I do next and have any of you had this problem? .My friend told me I should follow the starter wire that goes from the ignition to the starter. I found a wiring diagram but I dont understand it. If anyone could help that would be awsome.

check your ignition

i had the same problem in my 90 ls and i just hooked up a starter button

 

clutch safety switch is prolly bad just jump it with a paperclip....follow the clutch pedal to the top u will see 2 wires at the top just take a paperclip and jump them together and hopeful;ly yopur problem is fixed, if u have a automatic disregaurd what I said

 

I cant see any wires up there were are they exatly.Its a 90 si if that helps.

 

How do you hook up a starter button

 

I had the exact same yr rex except mine was a dx, trust me the wires are there, all honda's have the clutch safety switch, I jumped mine on my rex before and I recently did it on my 94 civic...if u have the cash just go to the parts store and buy a new switch then u will know exactly what it looks like

 

I believe you but I just want to know exactly were to look I couldnt see it. I also cant find anything on it. Do you know of any write ups on this.
