Default GSR and LS hubs different??

my friend picked up some axles a while back that were said to be for his integra. the part of the axles going into the tranny fit fine, but they would not slide into his ls hubs. its like they were too big on the spline and the shaft diameter is too big going into the hub. but the guy who sold them swears on his life that they were in his gsr suspensioned civic.????? are the gsr hubs and ls hubs just a little different?

hubs are the same, with the optional abs being the only difference. Axles should fit either way.

The only think I can think of is that they would have to be Type R, I heard some one on here a while ago that had the same problem because they would fit into the tranny but they were to big for the hubs, but then again I may be wrong.

I dont have a spline count nate, or id hook ya up with it. Quickest way i could say for you to find out is cal napa or autozone and ask for the Axles or hubs and the description will have a Spline Count... I use those geeks alot when im too lazy to research shit. lol I do believe GSR has More Splinesthan LS unless it has ABS then i think they are the same. Ask some of the guys who swap out to HUGE Drivetrain setups EK60-1 should know and a few others. Ill look it up and see what all my manuals and shit say.

they were said to be gator stg 2 axles for the 94-97 integra, but like i said, they dont go through the hubs. this is a huge pain in the ass, cuz the special hubs that have the prelude splines and mm size with the integra bolt pattern are like 400 bucks.
