i could of sworn the gsr/itr water pumps and b16 were different i know they both have 22 teeth but im pretty sure for an ls/vtec setup you have to use the same timing belt as the water pump correct me if im wrong

For an ls/vtec yes but a b16a has a much shorter deck height than the ls and b18c blocks and needs the shorter b16a and b17a timing belt.

Regardless of part number at the dealer all vtec water pumps are the same, same flow too, there is no advantage of running an itr over a b16a. The b18c1 and b18c5 timing belts are also the same. All 96+ vtec and non vtec oil pumps are the same. Also the only real difference in pre 96 ls pumps is the relief spring and shim are different. Technically you can take a pre 96 ls pump and replace the relief spring, shim and plug with a vtec pump and they flow the same, that is proven.

My bad guys I didnt red it all the way I was thinking LS VTEC for some reason you HAVE TO USE THE B16 belt Due to shorer Deck heighth if your doing an LS Vtec Follow my previous Directions the belts are the same between all the B18's and B20. You basicly replaced the Pump with a B16 pump as the ITR and B16 Pumps are almost identical actually there alot of similarities bewteen the B16 and the B18C5 and B18C4.

pretty much adding the itr was pointless if you already had a b16..
