Need Info On Heads

Default Need Info On Heads

Which head is better a B16A or a GS-R b/c i heard a B16A is better but dont know why plz tell me.

Stock versus stock they will both perform very close to the same. The gsr head has a smaller combustion chamber so it gives a higher compression ratio. A fully worked over head will be as good as the head porter who did it. Some head porters prefer gsr heads some prefer b16a heads. So basically it really doesn't matter.

My personal preference is a gsr head due to the steeper ports.

thanx b/c i was about to go and buy a B16 head when i have a gs-r head gonna build up a poor mans itr with gs-r head now

Let's see if I can remember. I saw a B16a B18c1 head flow comparison a while back. The B18c1 head flowed a little more low to mid and the B16a flowed a little more top
