Default Help: CRX Engine Swap Options>>>>>>>>>>>>

HI Guys,

I have a friend with a 1988 CRX with stock 1.6 B16 non v-tec motor, he has to rebuild the engine, he also has a 1.5 Honda Civic head,

he has a limited budget, I don't know much about Hondas and I would like to help him,

what would be the best option for him a JDM engine swap or rebuild the motor?,

also, what engine swap will be a bolt on in his 1988 CRX without modifications if this is available and market price?,

Thanks in advace, Mario

i'm goint to assume you mean stock d16 motor. How much is this "limited budget"? Either D16z6, y8 or jdm d15b (all sohc vtec motors), will be bolt on mechanically wise.

Ive never done a b-series swap, but i do know its not so bolt on since you need different mounts and a few other parts.

Im sure more experienced ppl in this area will chime in for ya. If you do go d-series route just pm me i can help ya out if you need it. I have an 88 si that i swaped a z6 into.
