what motor?

what motor can i put in my 91 ef Hatch what stock motor can i slap in and get the most power out of
going no turbo i want a all motor on a budget of 1500

you won't net big power, but the motor you'd be looking for is a d16z6, light.

the only way to go is ls/vtec.

Get a D16y8 And a 89-91 civic si tranny. convert to obd1 and get a chipped
p28 that should put you with money left over to do some other stuff with...

maybe a ls with budget if you was to get a b-16 that woul pretty much eat uo your budget on just getting the motor alone.
