Default Stock ls internals turbo

I got a stock (internal) ls with 120k, Header & intake. Would it hurt if I ran like 5lbs of boost with out ruinning a fuel managment program? What should I do if I decide to run boost ? I dont want to fuck up my motor by running lean.

1. I recommend you have a compression & leak down test done on the motor.
2. I recommend you figure out what turbo kit your going to run & have it approved by some one which is experienced in this field.
3. Read phearable.net concerning fuel management.

If the motor is in healthy condition, you will be able to boost it to 250-300 whp on pump gas without any problems (depending on how aggressive you want to get)

I have a garrett t3/t4 42 cold & 48 on the hot side. Im going to run a compresion test as soon as I go to the shop & do u have any recomendations on running the leak down test??? Iv never done a leak down test but, Im sure my dad or grandfather have what ever I need to do it. Should I do compression test hot & cold just for the hell of it?

do a compression test at normal operation temperature and at wide open throttle with all spark plugs removed.....oh and unplug the distributor because you can fry the coil if it hits to many times ungrounded.

+1

ive seen cars with more mileage and 15-18 psi of boost on stock internals. Im not recommending to push it to its limit. But im just saying its been done with proper tuning.

Ok now where should I look to get me a leak down tester? I would prefer to be able to pick it up somewhere rather than have to order it..

Nobody will stock an affordable unit around here.
Snap-on units are $300

Summitracing online stocks them, or you could simply have some one perform the leak down test for you.

It really depends on what options you need for an ems and what your budget is.
Hondata s100/s200 has pretty much been replaced by crome pro unless you need a specific feature that s200 has.
