I have a 95 Honda Civic DX 1.5L 16valve SOHC 2DR COUPE

I am wanting to mod/upgrade my car and was needing some input/advice on what I can do to increase the performance in my car without any swaps yet.

Any input will be appreciated, I only have a custom exhaust tip (not sure of brand, but its welded on) and no engine modifications yet.

 

well your dont have a very good base to start with. thats the weakest motor honda makes. if u have the means i would atleast swap on a vtec head. if u cant do that right now then the basic I/H/E would be the way to go. Thats intake, header, and exhaust if u dont know. a welded on exhaust tip dosent do anything except make u look like a ricer.

the best route would be a full swap with at least something like a d16z6. u can usually find those pretty cheap and u can even use most of the stuff you already have like axles and whatnot.

Yea man If you have the means to do a head swap, My guess would be to swap a Vtec head on it or sve up for a cheap B series swap. Just my .02

heres what you need to do.is buy a b series motor complete with tranny and do a swap i got a b16a2 out of a 2000 si strong motor with skunk2 cams 188 whp for 1700 complete with accels tranny the whole thing comes with full exhaust magnaflow

188whp from skunk 2 cams? the motor makes 140 whp on a strong motor your crazy.

Bro if you want to make your civic a little quicker without a swap just get a WET nitrous kit youll have some fun with it. Ebay has turbo kits there not the greatest but there actually not bad either worked on a few of them and there 900 shipped i think.

 

a vtec head and an ex/si tranny would make it a bit more fun and both are pretty cheap. nothing other than nitrous or boost is going to be really worth it though.
