ok i just put my 91 ls motor into my 89 crx dx now it is having trouble starting, and when it does it stutters and when you go to give it gas it shuts off. what could it be??? my ecu is throwing a code 14 i think it is a (IAC) but not sure i had another one and put it on but same outcome but it could also be bad. the car is obd0 so maybe you guys could help out any advice is good .

Yes 14 is the Idle Air Control... that woudn't be causing your car to shut off.. also i see your car is a Dx.. was the multipoint conversion done prior to the install of the Ls? (has the car ran correct w/ the multipoint swap done) if so.. Normally when a car will idle but the instant you try to give it gas and it cuts off it because of lack of fuel i.e. no fuel pressure, no gas.. ect.. I would check and make sure you can hear the pump priming and the car is getting gas to the rail. Also, what ecu are you on? Pr4? -Ben

 

neal did the wireing so i know it is done right but maybe the fuel isnt gettin the like you said didn't think bout that it does prime up but when i prime it a few times it turns over and like after like 1-3 sec itg turns off. i am also on a obd0 ls ecu

sounds like you have the TPS and Map sensor plugs swapped..either that or the TPS is bad.
