(CAR: 91 integra ls OBD0)car just died this morning on 301 , the [ast few days i have been smelling burning metal inside my car every once in awhile but payed no attn to it, but this morning i noticed that i dropped a cylinder, my clock went out, my windows barely worked, in fact they stopped about 1/2 way up, and then the car just died. no alt light flickering or nothing, the belt is tight on the alt, and not slipping.

after i get it home i jump it and everything works fine with the cables still attatched, i pull the cables turn on all the loads and it runs good for a few min then the same stuff happens and she dies. before i change out the alt i wana make sure, i have no diagnostic equipment such as volt meter etc. again, no cel light or alt light.

 

and all under hood fuses are ok

 

Star Car - While Running Disconnect Battery Ground. If Car Dies - Alt Is Shot, If It Still Runs Turn On All Acc - It Shold Run Off Alt With All Acc On,
Your Battery Might Have A Shorted Or Dead Cell, Take It To Parts Store And Have Them Put A Load Test To It

alright well the alt is free BUT having trouble getting it physicly out of the car, do i have to remove the master cyl? i just really dont wana have to bleed the breaks.
