Default ls/gsr help

due to the great response to trade my "high compression/nitrous" b16a build i traded my b16a for a ls shortblock and now im going to build it up! now im having it honed out and while thats out i wanted some opinions...

1st)ls vtec w/ nitrous at high compression or stay all ls for half the dough?
2nd)if i did go ls/vtec will the gsr crank work and will i have to get gsr rods as well?
3rd)is i stayed ls can i use a gsr crank in a full ls?
4th)should i use pr3 pistons with a ls head? are there any clearance issues?
5th)should i go with some home made itb's w/ the nitrous setup and will it have a significant increase in performance?

any info and opinions would be great im just now starting to get this going and need some info and opinions to see whats really a good idea, lmk tr!!!!

LS/VTEC must use the LS rods and crank

GSR crank requires GSR rods

LS/VTEC w/ Nitrous is your best bet and much easier to tune than if it had ITB's

are there any advantages to having a gsr crank and rods over having a ls crank and rods? i know the gsr rods have less stoke then ls rods but will the crank make up for that? also would it be cost effective to go ls/vtec instead of straight ls even if i plan to port and polish the shit outta the ls head since im going to be saving so much money on the vtec conversion shit? or is ls/vtec just better all around? lmk some opinions, this is not in anyway a ls/vtec question thread im just looking for opinions on what my build should be.

A well ported LS head Only amounts up to what a STOCK VTEC head will flow ..

The LS crank has the extra stroke which will allow the car to make more torque than the GSR crank ..

The GSR crank is a better choice for High RPM operation because it has more filleting done and balanced a bit better ..

A well built LS/VTEC will make good power and be plenty reliable . I suggest the use of ARP rod bolts if using stock rods ..

If you do end up using a straight LS , You can use the PR3 B16 pistons in the LS block

Both cranks will make power Thats not the issue ..

The LS crank just doesnt like to be spun as high as the GSR ...

If going for a very high revving nitrous car Just buy some Eagle H-Beams and some High Comp pistons and a good tune and spray the shit out of it lol

sounds so good but is it as cost effective as a an ls on spray w/ extras for the same price?

If your on a budget a LS with spray can be quick ...

If you can throw some ARP Rod bolts and those B16 pistons in it for the bump in compression and that way if your going to put a VTEC head on it later your going to have decent Comp ..
