it's not that they arent good, there just arent as many b20's out there. LS's were made from 90-01 in the teg's, and b20's 96-01 in J PAN, and USDM b20's from 98-01 all in the crv's, there just arent as many.

true tho! but still, i dont trust b20 sleeves, even sleeved its not as good as the LS's, BUT it all depends on the guy's goals.
i think that if he just wants to rock the b20 N/A or a b20/vtec, they're good, but for boost, not so much.

like i said though, i have put 125shot + to a b20z went thru SEVRAL bottles and never had a problem. Now that i think of it , that SAME motor was boosted 10psi on a JRSC and the motor STILL RUNS.

yeah you put 18psi to the shit w/ a sc61, its gonna pop, any motor will pop. I have seen ls's pop on 5 psi, and i have witnessed Ls's on 14psi thru a Sc63 and it STILL RUNS.

IDK. this argument could go on forever i guess. anywho.

my main goal is to have a decent all motor build up, then eventually down the line throw on a jsr super charger...but thats later on. the reason i asked this question is because i heard alot about the "weaker" sleeves in the b20's. what is the best bang for my buck in building an all motor non vtec b serious.

you really arent making any sense ( dont take it personally ) but you want a "All motor setup " then you want to boost it....sure it is possible i guess but when making a true all motor setup you want more compression.

Iono, IMO i would get a b20z , they are good motors , more compression then a LS and of course more displacement. Also b20z's were made from 99-01 so they are newer w/ lower miles on them when you find them

But reguardless of what i say, someone will say different. sooooooooooooooooo just get what ever you find at a good deal

B20 > B18 for all motor PERIOD. more torque=more fun. screw people and the weak wall bs! quote me on this, A stock B20 block and head will make 280 whp all day every day, with a 60-1 turbo setup and propper tune, getting the shit kicked out of it non-stop. if your worried about walls, any walls will give you shit over 350hp anyway, so you buy a darton block or aebs block and be good for 1,000hp. if you want a fun temporary motor, go b20 with gsr, sir, or type r tranny.
