Default y8 swap

im doing a y8 swap and want to know if i can use the intake manifold off my a6 , and can i use my p6 ecu?

p6? pm6? yes you can, but in my own opnion it doesn't run like it should. Vtec engagment is false and doesn't get the power the motor should get from the ecu. Because the ecu is what gives the motor more fuel and all the actavator does is actavate the solnoid. Missing power. The a6 manifold that is the SI intake manifold right? You can, but you can use the y8. The only thing is, the y8 won't have a IAT sensor location. Then you will have a code 10? I think thats the correct one. Unless you drill into your y8 manifold I guess and run a tap through it and put that sensor in the manifold which is what I was think of doing when I was runing the si ecu.

I would switch over to obd 1.

you will need the a6 dizzy also, you can still use the pm6 ecu, but you will need to buy a vacf (vtec controller the best one is apexi),
