Default 87 crx si fuel pump

i believe the fuel pump is bad in my crx and the stock replacement pump from discount is kind of expensive. is there any other possiblity that i could use. maybe an inline pump?

How much is it at discount. I bought a walbro pump for my 88 rex for $95. I know the 87 is the previous generation, but I imagine the pump would be about the same price. As far as an inline, if the intank pump isn't moving fuel I don't think an inline would be able to suck the fuel through the intank, if you remove the intank then it might work but the inline would be more likely to burn out sooner since it isn't in the tank to cool down.
