Default I need a tuner!

I have been building my turbo gsr civic and need to tune with a reputable and experienced tuner.
I know there is a "tuner/shop" list but that is as informative as a phone book.

I would like to find a tuner near tampa that has references from owners of high hp (400+) turbo cars. I contacted MTBER but his schedule is full for a while I guess. He referred me to Alpha, who has helped me out a bit so far. Has anyone had their car tuned by Alpha? If so, can you reply with your experience with his services. (no offense Alpha, I just like to do my homework)

If you had a car blow up while being tuned (by anyone), please post your story, and the reason you believe/were told it blew up.

Alpha is a Great guy and a great tuner. What EMS system are you running?? Sounds like you have yourself a pretty potential setup there. I know Alpha knows AEM systems pretty well, I dont know what other systems he uses, but im sure he clould help you out

If not, your best bet would be to call a few shops and ask lots of questions. If the tuner knows what they are doing, then the info they provide should help in the selection of the right shop/tuner

I'm running a 1060 aem ems. Alpha came by last sunday to do a basemap and startup on this thing and I had a fuel leak in a steel braided hose fitting. I was dead in the water until monday, when Amazon Hoze was open.

Alpha seems to be a very nice guy. I searched for references but came up with nothing, which is why I'm asking around. I have an appointment with him today, but I have no idea what time.

I have a crapload of $ (to me) in this thing and want to be certain of the skills of anyone touching it. I can't afford a fatal tuning mistake.

And yes I tuned danaintampa's car. I was a little late and he got worried. Hence the post Only issues were idle feedback and a starter wire. Very nice car
