I recently found out the rings on one of my pistons is fried. So I am planning on replacing all of the pistons. I'm going n/a on this one and it's my weekend driver. I'm probably going to go with a higher displacement. I've heard the ITR and CTR pistons require slight mods to go on the b18b rods. I don't want to add the cost of machine work and I want to spend no more than $500. I'm using the stock rods (I have a set of new ones with new wrist pins) I have the basic I/E/H and a FPR. After this i'm getting a wide-band so I can tune my self. I'm looking to run 93 oct. in it. What's the most bang for the buck with out bending my valves?

So i'm not gonna have to mod anything? Just slap 'em in and go? What kind of pwr increase (if any) will I see after tuning?

 

with stock cams not much you will make more power useing Gsr pistons with stock cams and it will be a safe bet

 

heres a link, The Old One - Energy Dynamics check out there "RollerWave" pistons...i had a set in my LS with Crower 403 cams and ARP rod bolts....ran consistant 9.3's in the 1/8th mile, and ran a best of 13.0 @ 108mph in the 1/4mile with a 50shot...that bottom end is now currently a 12.5:1 compression LS/Vtec daily driven with a/c on 93oct.

As tempting as those are they're a bit outta my price range. I picked up a set of GSR pistons at my friend's and rangcrx's advice. Hopefully if I start tomorrow I can be finished by Sunday. Just picked up some oil, coolant, oil pan gasket and headgasket for an in-vehicle transplant. I'm not gonna be in the market for any cams for about a month or so seeing how my car fund was just drained but i'll hit u up l8r. thanks 4 the advice everyone>>
