what size is this...?
i need the size of the spindle nut on the integra, and will an impact gun be needed to remove it, being the lock on the nut is set? no codder pin just bent in, im sure some of you guys know what im talking about. thanks for the help.
witch one ? there are 2 of them, either way its a 17mm or a 14mm...unless your talking about the CV nut, its a 32mm

dude, easiest way to do it:
get a 32 mm or 1 & 1/4, half inch drive, and like a 4 foot pipe. slip the pipe over the ratchet, and use an extraordinarily small amount of energy. torque is an amazing concept.

haha thanks for the fix.
but if you want to get technical, the torque vector is defined as the moment arm crossed with the force vector. so in actuallity, torque is equal to the distance from the point of rotation mulitplied by the force. so moving the force along the lever arm away from the point of rotation increases torque, and hence, makes the bolt much easier to remove.

yeah but the concept is not TQ , the concept is the leverage Making the TQ

ahhh, touche sir.
and while the leverage is what makes loosening the nut easier, the base concept of torque is why it works. a force around a point of rotation is necessary before any leverage can be applied to the force.
