Angry Stupid Red Blinking Seat Belt Light.

on my 1990 accord lx.

yeah, i've been dealing with it for a year now. it's so annoying that i opended up the Seatbelt Warning Control computer (under the pass. seat) and soddered off the speaker the beeps.

anyway, it still blinks on the dash of course.

sometimes it go away for weeks.. or just blink for a few secs and stop a few times a day.

so i finally get the cash to buy a new Seatbelt Warning Control computer

I bought it from Magic Used Auto parts, and GUESS WHAT

this darn one has the same problem. i guess i shouldve looked at it closely before walking off of the property because of their dumb, NO ELECTRONICS CAN BE RETURNED bullshit.

so yeah, the ppl that had the car with the box i bought did the same thing as me, except didn't remove the speaker, but the covered it with something to make it silent. i could still hear it if my head was near it.

SO NOW IM STUCK WITH ANOTHER FAULTY COMPUTER THING.

anyway, i'm out 50 bucks and i put the old one back in because it doesn't blink every time i drive, like the one i just bought.

So is there a way to get into the dash? i mean, there must be, how else could you get indiglo dash kits for 1990 Honda Accord LXs??

ANYWAY KNOW MAYBE WHAT WIRE TO CUT??

IM PROBABLY JUST GONNA OPEN THE DASH AND PAINT OVER THE STUPID LIGHT.

thanks.

+2 be safe out there on the streets, you never know what can happen in the blink of an eye. you do not want to be stuck saying "only if" after the fact when it is already to late. not to talk down to you but remember Prevention Is Better Than Cure.

The bulb won't affect the belts, just blow it out and re-install it and there won't be no blinky light.

Does the light go off when you put the lap belt on?
