Default which alternator belt?

im currently running a z6 in my 88 crx si and the a6 belt seems to be too small. Do i need to get the belt from a z6 equipped car? I ask because i thought a6 belts were 3 grooved and z6's were 4. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Mondo

*edit* oh yea im using the a6 alternator

actually the a6 is 2 grooves and the z6 is 3 grooves. i got a a6 block wit a z6 head due to the z6 block spun a bearing. so i just used the 2 groove belt on the 3 groove pulley it still works.

*update*

I just went and got a longer belt cant remember the belt number off the top of my head..think it was something like 300k35 or somehting liek that. Same belt just 1/2 inch or so longer. Up and running now =). Just gotta find whats making my cars idle surge from 1.4k to 1.6k on start up. I did the FITV fix since the surge was higher before..it was like 1k-2.5k
