Default need help trobule shooting b16 in ef

ok here is the deal i got a 91civic with a b16 it has been converted to multi port. and i am running a stock pr-3 stock injectors hell stock everything. i had a vafc but i unpluged it and fixxed all wires

i have a few problems first my idle is crazy high like 2k-2200 at first i though of a vaccum leak(not ruling that out yet), but i was messing with my vafc and if i hook that up to the map it idles around 1100 still kinda high, but i was thinking if it was vaccum then why go down when the afc is installed, then i put a map from 91 civic ex in and still high idle. any help

this might be related to the last one, when i first finished the swap i had liek 10 codes lol, i fix them all, i hooked up the knock sensor, the vtec wires, i fix the map code, ok so no codes on the ecu, i reset then ecu, now i drive the car and floor it hti pops vtec, but then slows down lol. what is this am i running to rich or lean.

and lastly i never wired in the secondary o2 sensor would that be causing a problem, i am not throwing a code for it. and can i jsut splice a wire from the first o2 sensor and run it to the sencodary one?

summary: vtec works on stock computer
speedo cable is hooked up
no codes
clean vtec screen ie brand new
good oil level

no secondary o2 hooked up.

I have heard that if you do not hook the secondary o2 sensor up it will run like crap, I had a ef with a b16a swap, 1990 si. I tried the same o2 thing just hooking it to one o2 sensor and it ran like crap, I then just ran a new wire to the 2nd o2 sensor and then everything started running very good actually. I highly reccomend hooking up that secondary o2 sensor....The Pr3 ecu seems to really need it, because it senses the exhaust out of 2 ports with each o2 sensor. If you hook it to just one o2 sensor it sees the same thing out of just that one o2 sensor and it things hey both o2 sensors are seeing the same thing, and ti shouldnt be the same all the time and the ecu is trying to compensate for it making it run like crappo..

Oxygen Sensors
This Honda Civic problem was very, very puzzling and took some time searching on the interweb to finally figure out what the problem was likely to be. When I did the B16A Engine Swap I carefully labelled which Oxygen Sensor went to which set of primaries in the exhaust. However, it doesn't appear like I was careful enough. Somehow they managed to get swapped around somehow.

The PW0/PR3 ECU in the Honda Civic SiR uses one Oxygen Sensor to monitor the fueling for two cylinders. So, if you get them around the wrong way the computer is going to lean out two cylinders and richen up the other two since the readings are all reversed.

Symptoms
The car would idle fine.
The car would hestitate on the motorway when starting to accelerate from a constant speed.
Fuel economy decreased, but not substantially.
Diagnosis
Unplugging the Oxygen Sensors rectified the problem. With the Oxygen Sensors unplugged the car would always run in open loop mode using predefined maps for the fuelling based on other sensors like the throttle position, and rpm.
Putting a volt meter on the Oxygen Sensors while the car was idling and up to temperature showed one output reading high (~0.9V) with the other one reading low (~0.3V). These readings would remain reasonably constant.

I got this off of this site :http://www.teirney.net/civic/KnownPr...#OxygenSensors

LOL yeha man weld in a o2 bung on your exhaust manifold, I am guessing you have a aftermarket header correct? Here is another link to what a guy did to a ITR 4-1 header: http://www.lyonel.orcon.net.nz/jdm4-1_install.htm

I got all these interesting links saved when I had a Ef with a B16...
