Default Turbo questions!!! 93 Civic EX

Hey all i have some questions. I want to turbo my 93 civic EX, But it is an automatic. Everyone is telling me that the trans will die if i turbo it. and how many lbs of boost can a factory motor hold??? cause it is going to be a dailey driver for me.

And if rebuilding im going to need another motor. any one got one????

I want a 5 speed car but cant afford one. I dont have the time or money to convert my car to a 5-speed. I want another civic like my 93 ex but a stick. even just a shell of my year that is set up for a stick would be perfect. But cant find one.

I think the stock auto tranny could hold 6 lbs of boost on an Z6, If i was you i would buy a torque convertor from www.zex.com and put it in. I think this would be interesting to see. If you are converting to 5-Spd why not try it anyway.

Man 300.00 for that is dam expensive. But i know it would probably make a huge difference. ill start saving up for it. supposed to pick up a newer 95 civic auto trans that has 50k on it for my car so maybe ill just wait till i can afford this converter.

Thanks
