how do you know if you fried your clutch???

Default how do you know if you fried your clutch???

yo i realy need help i was driving today an my car wouldnt go nowhere when i put it in gear its a five speed an i need to know whats wrong ...i need my baby back on the road if you have info call me (813-600-8873)....please help asap...call any time....mark

check to see if your slave cylinder is working, with someone in your car, look one the tranny were the tranny meets the block, there will be a arm comming out of te tranny with a boot over it, when the person presses the clutch the arm should move back and forth when the clutch is pressed and let off of, if no movement is seen/felt, you have a broken slave cylinder or master cylinder..

but he is able to put it into gear.... as he stated, so it most likely is the clutch and not the slave cylinder

try putting it in 5th gear. and slowly let out the clutch like your trying to start out in 5th gear. if the car bogs and stalls then you have a good clutch. hope it helps

check the little clutch resivoir it might be empty and if it is you probaly have a leak.
