oh btw robert.. there is an O-ring inside of the head that if it is not there it will not have enough oil pressure for vtec to pop. I know when this head was on my block vtec popped. You need to check for the o-ring. -Ben

you mean the o-ring in the third cam cap with the dowel pin? That will not cause vtec to not engage. I have ran heads with them and without them, dosn't make a difference. Also the LMA's will have NO effect if vtec pops or dosen't. They will just cause valvetrain noise. Get it right.

Get it Right? I have it right... If you read this again.. no where does it state that the LMA's will cause vtec to not engage.. It is the O ring in the lma's that will have an effect on it. If this is not in it could cause you to loose oil pressure... causing vtec to not engage. Thanks -Ben

Have you ever seen a LMA? they don't come apart and they don't have any o-rings. THERE IS NO OIL PRESSURE FED TO THE LMAs!

Yea I was wrong.. I apoligize for the incorrect info.. I for some reason had a single cam on my mind.. and I was thinking the LMA's when on the top. I'm sorry the O-ring on the cam cap could cause the problem.
